Artist Reception and Meet & Greet
Hessam Abrishami
Saturday, April 24th
6-9pm
Join us for this unique opportunity to discover the art of world renowned artist Hessam Abrishami. Dzian Gallery is proud to present "Spring Dream," an exhibition featuring recent acrylic paintings, ink and charcoal drawings and bronze sculptures of master artist Hessam Abrishami. Hessam is known for the powerful expression and vibrant colors that characterize his paintings. His works have been described as "taking the onlooker to a realm of suggestion and mystical beauty . . . where everything is alive with a sense of everlasting fluid motion." Hessam has exhibited throughout Europe, Asia and North America and will be making his way to Worcester in April to share with the city his remarkable talent at this one-of-a-kind artist reception.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Hessam and Dzian Gallery are facilitating a
workshop with the art department at Worcester Academy. Students will participate in the
creation of a work of art in which a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Academy.

Artist Reception and Meet & Greet
Robert Bissell
Friday, May 21st, 4-9pm
Saturday, May 22nd, 12-4pm
Come to hear celebrated American artist Robert Bissell speak about his unique, whimsical world of animals. In Bissell's paintings, the world of animals is a mirror for human existence, self-definition and self-reflection. Yet, these are not mere children's tales. "Bissell's work disarms by narrating vitally grown-up and urgent allegories in the guise of child-like humor," William Zimmer, art critic for The New York Times explains. These works are rich with meaning, lore and are marked by a unique surrealism.
